On the most popular wedding day of 2018 and in my opinion, the hottest wedding day (August 18, 2018 | 08.18.18), a very special couple, Janet & Jospeh had the most beautiful wedding ceremony at Yale University’s Battell Chapel and reception at The Graduate Club in New Haven, Connecticut.
Janet & Jospeh’s day was a multicultural celebration with family and friends traveling from all over the world (China, Ukraine, Korea, California, etc.).
With all the rain this summer they were lucky to snag one of the nicest Saturday’s for photos around Yale’s exquisite campus.
Janet & Jospeh are very active in their Church and were blessed to have the wedding ceremony lead by their pastor and beautiful hymns sung by their Church family from the US and Ukraine (just waiting on the video to be final cut to show you all).
As a onlooker the day was so uplifting with thoughtful speeches by family and friends which also included the sharing of wedding traditions from the Ukraine where Joseph grew up.
As for the wedding details of the day- here are my highlights:
Favorite photo: While it is near impossible to chose take a look at the kiss photo as Janet & Joseph walked out of the church! I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen this captured (well done Jacky Lam Photography out of New York). The three shooters really allowed them to capture the most amazing photos in the moment!
Favorite moment: well there are really so many, but after the church because Janet & Joseph did first look photos they had time to take pictures with everyone who attended their wedding. It was so thoughtful.
Favorite details: I talked about the hymns sang and the fact that they had a lady trumpeter and classical organist. Musicians really add life to ceremonies. Not to mention we worked on a detailed ceremony program so guests could sing along. As mentioned above, Janet & Jospeh had guests from all over so they had translators sitting with guests to help them through the English ceremony.
Janet & Jospeh designed their own beautiful flowers and had such thoughtful favors for each guest (tea pot sets and international chocolates / sweets).
Be sure to take a look at the photos to see the two gorgeous dresses Janet wore (especially the second dress and hairstyle)!
It was such a pleasure to work with such a wonderful couple that shares their love and compassion with everyone they encounter.
P.S. My husband and I were lucky enough to receive a last minute invitation to join Joseph’s family for their rehearsal dinner at Hasna’s Grill in New Haven, Connecticut. It was so nice to get to know Jospeh and his family!
