The McCarthys

First wedding of 2018!

With every new year comes the first wedding of the year and Erika & Pete set the bar pretty high for the other celebrations.  Set at the historic and beautiful Saybrook Point Inn the couple hosted a wonderful wedding weekend with guests spending the weekend and enjoying the wonderful food at Fresh Salt and Sanno Spa. Some couples might have worried about the onset of a large winter storm, but it ended up making the night photos from their wedding more memorable than they could have imagined.  Erika really wanted an eclectic look to the wedding and wanted to keep the tables focused on white roses and carnations (completed by L&L Weddings) while her bouquet and those of her bridesmaids were more contemporary with greenery, a bit of burgundy and ivory hydrangeas from Mar Floral. One of the most special parts of the wedding was the ceremony. I barely know where to begin – her Uncle Raf led one of the best civil ceremonies I’ve ever witnessed and their vows were so sweet! Not to mention every guests’ heart melted with the sweet gestures of featuring Erika’s sons and Pete’s nephews ~still swooning~.

Looking back Erika made a last minute call to go with a videographer and it couldn’t have been more perfect that the day was filmed by the best Connecticut videographer I know Tim Costello.
